Once you've teamed these pieces together, it is advisable to seek some good instruction and practice deployment in shallow water first, before the need arises in deeper water!
NB: IF YOU DEPLOY YOUR DELAYED SMB DURING A DIVE, IT IS GOOD PRACTICE POST- DIVE TO UNWIND THEN REWIND THE LINE TO ENSURE THERE ARE NO TANGLES/SNAGS WHICH COULD CAUSE PROBLEMS ON THE NEXT USE - look after your kit and it will look after you.
