So you want to go snorkelling, should you use snorkeling fins? The use of fins whilst snorkelling adds a whole lot to the snorkelling experience, essentially, it’s much easier to move through the water. That in itself has many benefits, not least by boosting confidence that you can swim to the best snorkelling sites and back again with minimal effort. Once you master your finning technique you will also find you can glide almost effortlessly across the water, even if there is a slight current to contend with.
At some point as a snorkeller you will no doubt want to dive under the water, this too is much more effective and controllable with snorkelling fins (once you’ve learned the basic technique of getting off the surface), the fins enable you to move easily and in a more relaxed way underwater thus helping you to stay down for longer on a single breath.
For my part, after 30 plus years of snorkelling, would I still bother with fins for snorkelling? Absolutely, every time, the whole experience is so much better!
We stock a vast range of Fins for Snorkeling at fantastic prices from Mares, Tusa, Cressi and Reefwear. All these fins are suitable for snorkelling and exploring the worlds oceans. Snorkelling fins are designed to be used barefoot without footwear, they are lightweight so ideal for travelling.
