When We Collect Your Personal Data And What For
When you place an order with us either on our websites or over the phone the information we keep may include:
Your name and title. Just so that we can be courteous in our communications and correctly address any order you may have placed.
Your address, and where applicable, alternative delivery name and address to enable us to arrange delivery of your order.
Your phone number, landline or mobile. We may need to use this to contact you if there are any issues relating to delivery, payment or anything else regarding your order. We will normally pass your mobile number to the delivery company handling your order to allow them to provide you with text updates regarding delivery.
We will not use your phone number to contact you unless it is directly with regard to your order, or unless you have requested us to do so.
Your email address, we will use this to confirm receipt of your order and despatch, and to provide tracking information where available. We may also need to use this to contact you if there are any issues relating to delivery, payment or anything else regarding your order.
Communicating with you, we would like to keep you informed of special offers, new products and updates of our services. For existing customers we will continue to do this under ‘legitimate interest’ as described above. For new customers after 25th May 2018 we will only do so if you have specifically ‘opted in’ to receive such communications during the process of completing your order, or at any time, before, or after. In either case, you can always opt out at any time, either by emailing us or clicking on ‘unsubscribe’ at the foot of any promotional email. For reviews, your email address, name and order reference only, will be passed to Safebuy or Reviews.co.uk to enable you to give feedback on our performance. The information passed to Safebuy or Reviews.co.uk will not be used for any other purpose and will be permanently deleted within 60 days.

We will keep a record of the products you have ordered from us, including, where applicable any manufacturer’s serial numbers. This information will be held to help us communicate with you in the event of any warranty issues or a manufacturer’s recall. We may use it when asked to give you advice regarding future purchases, such as replacing something lost or repeating a previous order.
To enable delivery of your order, we will pass on to the carriers we use, either Royal Mail, Parcelforce or DPD, the information required for them to effectively deliver your order and provide you and us with tracking information where available.
When you complete a web form or sign up to an account with us, for example when signing up to receive emails from us, we will ask a few questions to enable us to provide information as far as possible relating to your interests, to keep you informed of special offers, new products and updates of our services. You can always opt out at any time.

We will never collect sensitive information about you without your agreement. You have a right to ask for a copy of the information which we are holding on you and we will provide this for a small fee. Cookies – What They Are & How We Use Them
Cookies are small text files that our website and sometimes emails place in your computer to ensure that your experience of our offerings is as effective as possible. They remember any options you have chosen for example and your password or particular interests. They also enable us to track visitors’ usage of our site so that we can continuously improve it. There’s nothing mysterious about them and they do not collect personal data. Like pretty much all website owners we have always operated cookies and visitors have had the benefit of using them. EU regulations now require us to inform you of what they are and give you the option to prohibit them if you wish.
We are using the word ‘cookies‘ here to include things like ‘web beacons’ and ‘Flash cookies’ which serve similar functions. ‘Your computer’ includes anything connected to the internet including laptops, office machines, tablets, mobile phones and so on.
